Welcome to Mike's List. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mike's List website, accounts, subscription features, business listings, review summaries, shortlists, appointment-request tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Mike's List helps homeowners discover and compare local service providers. The Service may include business profiles, ratings, review excerpts or summaries, contact details, subscription tools, and features that help users organize potential contractors.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Please provide accurate information and keep it current.
Some features may require a paid subscription. Prices, billing periods, renewal terms, and cancellation options are shown at checkout or in the billing area. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. If you cancel, you may continue to have access through the end of the current paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by Mike's List.
Business listings, ratings, review data, summaries, contact details, and other information may come from third-party sources, public information, business submissions, automated processing, or user activity. We work to make the information useful, but we do not guarantee that any listing is complete, accurate, current, available, licensed, insured, or suitable for your specific project.
Mike's List does not endorse, employ, control, or guarantee any contractor or business listed on the Service. You are responsible for independently evaluating providers, checking licenses and insurance, reviewing contracts, and deciding whether to hire or contact a provider.
If the Service offers appointment, call, text, shortlist, or concierge-style tools, those features are provided to help organize outreach. We do not guarantee that any provider will respond, accept work, honor pricing, or perform services. Any contract or transaction between you and a provider is solely between you and that provider.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by scraping or harvesting data without permission, interfering with security or operation, submitting false or misleading information, using the Service for unlawful activity, infringing intellectual-property rights, attempting to reverse engineer non-public systems, or using automated access in a way that burdens the Service.
If you submit reviews, ratings, notes, shortlist details, messages, feedback, or other content, you represent that you have the right to submit it and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You grant Mike's List a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, use, reproduce, modify, and display that content as needed to operate, improve, and promote the Service.
The Service, including its design, software, text, graphics, logos, and other materials, is owned by Mike's List or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to the Service except the limited right to use it as permitted by these Terms.
The Service may link to or integrate with third-party websites, data providers, payment processors, authentication providers, maps, analytics tools, or communications services. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mike's List disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mike's List will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, contractor performance, property damage, personal injury, or disputes between users and providers. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to Mike's List for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mike's List from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your dispute with a third-party provider.
We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
